3 Reasons to have a Marketing Career in 2025

Why now? Well, I never had the drive to do it sooner. It took me a long time to realize that Marketing gathered different areas that I was passionate about: human behavior, design, copywriting, and having a positive impact on someone’s life. After so many years denying this calling, finally I dared to move forward, and what do I hear? “AI is taking our jobs”. And because I refuse to believe that, here are the three main reasons that helped me consider a Marketing Career in 2025.

1. Technological transformation is unstoppable

As they say in the fashion world “one day you’re in, and the next day: you’re out!”. This happens in the IT industry as well: you can not stop innovation, so you either learn from it and get to use it in your advance, or you’re going to be left out of the game. As simple as that. AI is not our enemy! Marketing lives on by taking consumer insights and using them to attract our audience. Why would I reject AI if it can help me:

  • Predicts consumer behavior without me having to check infinite data;
  • Turn that data into mind-blowing insights;
  • Introduce me to platforms that let me create experiences that fit my audience better!

  • Continuous learning about different topics, so that I can choose which makes more sense for me (Design, Email Marketing, SEO, and so on);
  • Embracing new technological skills, like data analysis or coding;
  • Creating a personal brand that stands out – well, we’ll see how this goes!

As you can see, the world of marketing is more dynamic and exciting than ever. I believe marketing professionals have more creative freedom now than before, since they can dedicate themselves to be different roles – strategic thinkers, data analysts, creative storytellers, or technological innovators, all rolled into one.
